Addendum: November 16th, 1997

Well, apparently someone is reading these, as I’ve been told that these “experiment notes are not my personal diary”.

Fuck you. See my notes on patient groups below:

Males under 13 years-of-age:

87% reduction in sleep from baseline with mean Time Spent Sleeping (TSS) of 1.03 hours per night and a median TSS of 1.5 hours.

Males ages 13 and above:

96% reduction in sleep from baseline with mean TSS of 0.53 hours per night and a median TSS of 0.32 hours.

Females under 13 years-of-age:

82% reduction in sleep from baseline with mean TSS of 1.24 hours per night and a median TSS of 1.70 hours.

Females ages 13 and above:

98% reduction in sleep from baseline with mean TSS of 0.33 hours per night and a median TSS of 0.21 hours.

Incidence of Side Effects:

The percentages listed below describe the occurrence of side effects among all patients. Numbers are self-reported during nightly progress checks.

Insomnia: 99%

Restlessness: 55%

Itching, Irritation, or Rash: 27% (Note: this category includes observable rashes and irritations as well as symptoms that appear to be psychosomatic)

Increased Agitation: 5%

Depression: 11%

Anxiety: 22%

Auditory Hallucinations: 1%

Narcolepsy: 2%

Nausea or Vomiting: 6%

Other: 9%

While these effects may seem discouraging, all effects seen so far are mild, aside from the insomnia, which is to be expected. Aside from a few mild rashes and the general poor condition that this country has wrought on these patients, physicals are all normal.
